Итак, РЕШЕНИЕ ДАННОЙ ПРОБЛЕМЫ:

"Итак вот два варианта:
1. power off computer, hold FN key, power up, keep pressing F11.it will clear the bios.
Перевод: Выключи компьютер, Держи FN кнопку, включай питание, и сразу же нажимай F11. Происходит очистка BIOS. Но насколько я понял пароль не сбрасывает.
2. at present you are lucky that your machine still works with old COMPAQ scheme which menas pseudo-security only.

The support technician was basically right in telling you to disconnect the RTC battery. It's as easy as that to remove the passwords (except a DriveLock).
But as to my experience just 5 minutes are far too short. Give it half an hour or so.
And it's very important to keep exactly to the sequence of the steps (pls see below).

Procedure to remove password
(following CPQ MSGs)

1.) Unplug AC, take out the main battery.

2.) Take out /disconnect the RTC (real time clock) battery for app. half an hour (the period of 5 min as specified in the MSG normally is not long enough).

3.) Plug in the AC adapter (batteries still removed); computer should boot automatically, if not use the power button.

4.) The machine will boot and show the 162-error-msg "system options not set". Use F1 to save the settings.

5.) Shut down the computer and disconnect AC power again.
6.) Re-connect the RTC-battery.
7.) Install the battery pack(s).
8.) Restart the computer.

Caveat: All settings are set back to factory standard.
You'll have to enter a correct date/time and change the settings to your needs.

Note: pls strictly keep to the sequence.
Re-starting with the main battery and or RTC-battery inserted will spoil the job.

Тут очень важно придерживаться приведенной последовательности действий. Поэтому привожу в оригинале. Ноут разбирать не прийдется, но прийдется снимать батарею, насколько я знаю, батарея снимается легко. И еще не сбрасывает пароль на жесткий диск, если он был установлен".

Я поступил следующим образом:

1. Отцепил аккумулятор ноута, отвинтил клавиатуру и вынул батарею РТС на маме.
2. Подождал 30 минут. НЕ ВСТАВЛЯЯ НИ БАТАРЕИ, НИ АККУМУЛЯТОРА, подсоединил блок питания ноута от сети - ноут ВКЛЮЧИЛСЯ САМ, при этом показалось сообщение 162 (163) об ошибке и отсутствии установленных параметров.
3. Я сразу нажал F1, чтобы сохранить параметры БИОС.
4. Кнопкой перезагрузил ноут, подключил батарейку на маме и аккумулятор, завинтил клаву, и попытался зайти в БИОС - без проблем!!! Пароля больше нет!
5. Выставил загрузку с СД, загрузился с HIREN boot CD, запустил ACTIVE PASSWORD REMOVER (CHANGER), стер пароль админа, перезагрузился обычным способом и вошел в винду под записью админа БЕЗ ПАРОЛЯ вообще.
ВСЕ -ПРОБЛЕМА РЕШЕНА, тему можно закрывать.
З.Ы. При решении проблемы использовались ноуты почтенного концерна HP Compaq.
