Is there a part of forum for foreign speakers?
what exactly are you looking for? Is there something specific that you need or you just curious?
I have some things to share but I feel terrible trying to figure it out when I am uncertain what buttons do what, since google can't translate those! Is there a section where we can post without feeling like we might be unintentionally spamming?
Hilde, please read this announcement:
Attention to English-speaking users!
In accordance with the rules of the forum, the official language of our forum is Russian. Messages written in other languages is an inconvenience for most users, so the creation of such messages is prohibited. Exceptions may be quoted text descriptions and personal messages.
Considering the specificity of our section, only here you have the opportunity to write in English. Messages in other languages will be regarded as a violation of the rules of our forum and our section.

• All for Photoshop (http://www.nowa.cc/forumdisplay.php?f=522)
If you write messages in English elsewhere in the forum, it will be a violation of the rules and you will receive a warning.

I think it would be a great idea if there was a part of this forum for english-speaking users. I recently started learning Russian, so I'm a beginner and still not sure about some things on this forum. I know it's a Russian forum but maybe you could create an english-speaking subforum? there is only one english thread (which is great btw), and also the whole idea of this forum is great, so glad I found it.
ps. i couldn't read the link that khodor gave it said that i dont have permission to view this page(?)
I just read a tip that if you use google chrome to browse it automatically translates each page for you---even the buttons! Soo much easier :)

When I was using Firefox, every time I used the translator, it would sign me out. Now that I've downloaded Google Chrome, as ashchio said, it works perfectly, and I understand everything.
i use google translate with google bar and i don't have never problem, this is a suggeriment for all user ;)

This link won't even work if you don't have enough posts.
But I gathered from the subsequent comments that there was / were some plans to introduce an English section. I'll definitely have to consider using Chrome because right now I just keep having to flip back and forth between Google Translate, copy-paste, and this Nowa

On another note, for those using Chrome, does it also translate what you type into posts?
(otherwise, you'd have to keep using a translator and copy-paste everything you wish to post)

Google Chrome translates pretty well (except the buttons, which are technically images so the translator doesn't read them). Would definitely be nice to have easier navigation for English speakers. Not that we need to be specially catered to, but an all-English umbrella forum would be great.

Newbies beware and pay attention to the rules. Im already in trouble as i didnt understand the rules properly. Im neither English or Russion so its a double whammy for me. I will persist in trying to understand the rules as there is some good stuff on here.
As a foreigner its harder to build up points since im limited to very few threads. I presume its ok to translate English or any other into Russian and then post. It might not technically be correct. I dont want to break any more rules.
Hello, JohnC.
That you don't want to break a rule (http://www.nowa.cc/faq.php), it is already good. Try to translate them on the language for example by means of Google (http://translate.google.com/#) or Promt (http://www.online-translator.com/Default.aspx/Site). I wish good luck and good impressions of our forum.
With best regards. Hack.
Thank you for creating a wonderful and helpful forum. I wish more sections were in English, but I understand why you wanna keep it Russian. =)
Thanks for all the tips given out.. I am off to download google chrome.
Just wondering whether it would affect any securities issue via google chrome? Anyone knows?

Yeah, a little problem with joining for the first time here at Nowa. Great help with the English section. Can I ask hint about "Close section" that only legitimate member can open it?
Can we use Google Client to read this Nowa?
And last, I want to know what the meaning with my red status that say:

Can it changed sometime after?

Can I ask hint about "Close section" that only legitimate member can open it?
Rules of the "font" section
Closed section "Exclusive Fonts Collection".
• Closed section "Exclusive Fonts Collection" created for professionals involved with the subject. It contains the latest releases and exclusive extracts from our users.
• For access to the section you need assistance us (not financial, we do not sell) or users (exchange tips, etc.).
• Privileged group of users in "Commercial Fonts" can offer their credible and respected friends, who would like to actively participate in the section.
• To gain access send a request by PM to "doctor ru", "denisuis" or "mks69". Tell us about yourself, your work and interests with a letter.
The main criterion for access is the availability of useful (ie, with the font download links) messages in the "Fonts". Not having these, does not even ask-no avail.
• Paswords cannot be saled or transfered to third parties, if we catch you in this, your account will be deleted.

coolkips, red means you got one warning and it is worth 5 points. If you get to 25 point you will be banned automatically until one of the warnings will expire. This warning you got for posting something that doesn't bring value to the thread where you posted or the forum. It will expire on June 16.

I'm actually looking forward to interacting with people other than the weird American internet crowd. It'll be interesting to see how cultures across the world discuss, and hopefully I'll pick up some Russian along the way.
I don't know any software to learn, but you can use ABBYY Lingvo as a dictionary. It also has an online version.

A couple things in this post.
First, it was said back in November 2010 there were plans for an English-speaking section, and looking for one today, there doesn't seem to be any. Did those plans fall through?
Second, a response to the post quoted below
So...I tried downloading google chrome to translate the site to english. It works, except it keeps reverting back to Russian every time I click on a different thread... is there anyway to keep it from going back to the original?
The button on my Chrome transator says "Always Translate <language>" (in this case, <lanquage> would be replaced with Russian). Maybe this would work for you? I suppose, though, it will work for sites other than this forum as well, so it might be useful, or not so useful.

thanks for english language, i'm yet learning russian.
Would love an English section of this forum too, I've spent several hours now on Google Translate just trying to figure out how to navigate the site. The registration test took me about 30 minutes alone. Hah!
If I can wrap my head around this, I have a lot of shares I could contribute.
thanks,Google Translate is ok
Thanks HUGE to all who suggested Chrome. I've been losing my mind using other browsers. Like others have said, once I hit "translate", it would log me out. I had to keep two windows open, one in Russian (logged in) and one translated (logged out). It was making me nuts, counting down forums and threads to make sure I post in the right place. It makes you afraid of doing something to get you in trouble.
I think it would be helpful to have an English speaking section. I realize this is a Russian board & respect that but my translations my be off at times, lol. I think it might make it easier for the admins & mods if we could speak freely in English on one section. That way, we could help each other with forum questions & understanding of the rules. There are some very nice people here, I'd hate to get in trouble for misunderstanding a rule and get banned. :(
To those who suggested switching to Chrome for this site, I seriously owe you my sanity!
p.s.: in this topic are we allowed to post in English? Or should we still use Russian?
Is it ok if I write my replies in Russian and offer an English translation beneath? I guess that some users could profit from reading the posts in English, instead of deciphering my "Russian". Of course, I can read Russian, it's my writing that needs more work.
Well I just received two PM's telling me two of my posts were deleted. One said something about it being in a "fog"? The other gave no reason. :( I guess the translation didn't make sense. I do try to follow the rules here so this is frustrating. I still don't know if we can post in english in this thread? Or post using a translator and also in english in case that makes my reply more clear? I don't want to get in trouble so am hoping someone can answer.
Chrome isn't easy to use. and i saw that there is some security problem on that browser.

Hi! I believe there should be an individual section for english speaking users, just for general discussion, because it is a good thing to be able to exchange knowledge with other people from all over the world :)
For example, i would like to have a discussion with you about the recent events in Ukraine but it seems that i don't have the option to do so cause i will get banned :/

Interesting, how many english speaking people use this forum
It is true that this is a Russian website and mainly or primarily uses the Russian language.
If the English speaking users are under 20% of the total users. Then there is no need for an English language, no matter how much I would love to have it. There is a lot of content on this website and much of it would be duplicated. It would also force the admin team to consider new resources to invest in the creation of a sole-english section.
If on the other hand, English speakers are a lot on this forum. Then it now becomes a duty perhaps? for the admin team to invest in creating an English section.

Is there any upload on this? I see that if you scroll down to the website, there is a language option I assume in the gray footer bar.

Unfortuantely, even if you do select EN, it does not translate the whole website and you still need to bring in Google translate to translate all menu items as well as the forum text.

Hi, I'm new here, I couldn't find any "English language" topic in order to provide help to admins, forum programmers or providing support... it will be great to share english-speaking knowledge (or any other language) to them so the community can become bigger and more helpful internationally speaking...
English, German and Spanish will be great... but it will demand some work... count on us, the users that we are eager to help!!!
Maybe creating a Translation/Multi-language thread so other users can explain how can they help or maybe tagging the language spoken by users could provide a better panorama (it's completely understandable if there are just a few english speakers but if they represent a huge percentage, it will be great!)
